Very interested to see what you have.” For years, software companies have been pushing everything toward cloud-only, subscription-only systems. They control the pricing, the features, the updates. Even how you can access your own data. QuickBooks Desktop used to be a tool you owned. Now it’s something you rent. So naturally, one of the biggest questions we’re getting right now is: “Can I bring my QuickBooks Desktop data with me?” The short answer: Yes — but there’s one extra step. QuickBooks Desktop databases are accessible, but you need a special third-party tool to unlock them.
